Frequently Asked Questions about Pricing

The most commonly asked question in our business is “What’s your best price”.

We price our cars fair.  We know there are cheaper cars out there but there are also more expensive cars out there.  What you will find when you shop with Naples Motorsports is that we will give you the best overall value for your money.  There are a lot of factors to take into consideration when you are buying an exotic car.

Our reputation speaks for itself.  Most dealers do not take the time and energy we put into each and every car that is purchased from us.  Our cars are driven by one of us as a daily used car for a couple of days.  Our next step is that we go through a thorough inspection of the mechanics of the car.  Most of our cars go through the following inspections:

Because our guys go through so much prep work our promise to you is you will get a good car for a fair price.  Most dealers do not put the effort, time, or money into the cars that we do.  We do this for one reason – OUR REPUTATION.   We set ourselves apart from any other car dealer out there because of the things we do.   We may not be the cheapest price but no questions – WE ARE THE BEST VALUE.

The internet has so many tools for consumers to use to price vehicles out.  The biggest problem is that some of the “book values” are not accurate.  Try www.nada.com for example.  It does not take into account the following:

Mileage – A Ferrari could have 1,000 miles or 20,000 miles and there is no difference in price.

Colors – As we know resale means a lot.  If you have a not desirable color combination compared to a good color combination that could make a big difference

Service History – Again, when you compare a car we have compared to another dealer.  Our car could have gone though our extensive check over which could be a $5,000 ++ value.

Condition – no two cars are the same condition.  This plays a huge role in determining values in our minds.

Try www.kbb.com and you can take a 2002 Ferrari and type in 1,000 miles or type in 20,000 miles and it will give you the same value.

Books are “guides” and they are not a perfect system.

How do book values come up with these prices?  They do not take Market Value which is what we use.  We know our market better than anyone because of the type of business we are in.  Generally “book values” are established by taking how much a car costs new and depreciating it over time.  What we have found is that could/will work for your average car but not for our specialty cars.   Keep in mind that certain Ferrari models will actually sell for more than the MSRP when it was new.  When you use “book values” they will depreciate off of the MSRP – it’s not accurate.

Naples Motorsports is known for giving the best value for your money.  Our cars are priced fair and that’s why we are successful.  Some dealers will play the mark up game and have you go back and forth and knock $10,000 off to make a deal.  We don’t believe in playing those games.  Our time is just as valuable as your time is.

Another common question is “What’s your best price”.

Well our “Best Price” is when you pay us $10,000 more than you want to.  Your “best price” is when you can buy a car for less than we pay.  Honestly everyone will get a “best price” because we are fair with our pricing.  You must take into consideration the value we give you when you purchase from Naples Motorsports.  Our cars are checked over, serviced if needed, and generally speaking our cars stand out because of the condition.  In the long run you will save money by buying the “Right” car over a “price” car.   Some people think they are saving money by buying a higher mileage car than the ones we sell.  In the long run it will cost them more because you will spend more making it into the condition our low mileage cars start out with.  When you sell it you will get less money.  The repair costs will be a lot higher with the higher mileage cars.

As much as you can pick and chose who you buy a car from we do the same.  We are looking for long term relationships when we sell cars.  We want people that are understanding and easy to work with.  We are here for the long run and we will spend the time with prospects before they buy to make sure they are making the right decision.

When you purchase a vehicle from us we are starting a long lasting relationship.  Please join the family and call us sometime about adopting a vehicle of your choice.
